PhD position: Hamburg – Wind tunnel experiments for urban climate model evaluation

A research associate and PhD candidate is required for boundary layer wind tunnel experiments in the collaborative research project “Urban Climate under Change – Evaluation of Urban Climate Models”.    EWTL is tasked with extensive systematic wind tunnel measurements replicating field sites in Berlin, Stuttgart and Hamburg. The purpose of the measurements is to characterize and quantify representativeness and variability of field measurements concerning urban wind flows and ventilation.

Intended start of the 3-year contract is June 1, 2016. Application deadline will be April 22, 2016.
