Scientist Position: Department of Climate and Environmental Consultancy of German Met Service

Pending approval of external funding, the Department of Climate and Environmental Consultancy of the German Meteorological Service (Deutscher Wetterdienst) in Offenbach am Main invites applications for a scientist position (100%, temporary for 2 years) presumably starting August 1st, 2016.

The position focuses on the development and implementation of an automatic data pre-processing tool for high-resolution urban climate model applications and an evaluation study for German cities.

The position contributes to the Programme for the establishment of a European capacity for Earth Observation (Copernicus).  The research initiative of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure intends to develop and implement Copernicus services for public requirements in Germany.
