IAUC and US Travel Restrictions
Public Group active 4 months agoThis group is for discussion on how IAUC might respond to the US Travel restrictions that affect our members and more generally impacts the open collaboration and exchange of information, people and ideas that characterizes scientific and academic organizations.
The discussion here will be facilitated by an IAUC Subcommittee led by Alberto Martilli with representatives of the membership, IAUC Board and ICUC-10 organizers.

I have spoken to the ICUC10 Organizers. They are aware of recent restrictions to travel to US for certain countries, and are considering the possibility of holding a few on-line sessions for those affected authors. Dear IAUC members,
My paper has been selected for oral presentation at ICUC10, however, I have travelled several times to Iran and it seems I am not eligible anymore for an ESTA.
I am afraid of any kind of unforeseen situation that might happen when landing in NY if I try to attend the ICUC10 in August.

Also, I’d like to share a recent news published in a Spanish newspaper.
