Yncréa Hauts-de-France invites applications for a full-time permanent position (starting as soon as possible) as Lecturer or Assistant Professor in City Science.

The successful applicant will join the Mechanical and Civil Engineering Department of HEI. He/She is expected to teach in the Smart Cities Master Program. This program consists of two majors (namely “Building Science” and “Sustainable Urbanism”) and a workshop focusing on both building and neighborhood scales. He/She will contribute to develop the existing teaching content with the head of the program. He/She will participate to the coordination of the teaching programs and their evolution in an international perspective. He/She will supervise students during internships, technical projects and R&D projects. Participation to R&D programs driven by industrial partners is also expected.

Depending on candidate profile, research activities will be performed at the Civil Engineering and Geo-environment Laboratory (LGCgE), which is a multidisciplinary research laboratory that groups about 70 researchers from universities of the ComUE Lille Nord de France. It leads researches regarding the fields of sustainable building and planning, energy and natural resources management, ecology and biodiversity. The successful applicant will contribute to research topics related to urban and architectural issues at different scales.

Applicants should hold an Engineering Degree plus 5 years of experience or a PhD. He/She needs to:
– be fluent in English as a working language in both research and teaching.
– show commitment to teaching.
– show ability to work as a team.

Full-time, permanent position, based in Lille, France.
